made in cadore collection

Cadore was the "cradle" of Italian eyewear. The first frames factory was founded in Calalzo back in 1878 by Angelo Frescura and Giovanni Lozza. In the following years, through budding, many industrial and artisanal activities related to eyewear were born which led to the formation of an industrial district. Cadore is a historic Italian territory, located in the upper province of Belluno in Veneto: this territory, entirely belonging to the mountainous area of the Eastern Dolomites, borders Austria (Tyrol and Carinthia), Trentino-Alto Adige and Friuli- Venezia Giulia.

Tradition and nature. When the human hand, characterized by experience and manual skill, comes into contact with nature and all its peculiarities and surfaces, MIC is born: Made in Cadore

Finishes, shapes and shades inspired by the nature of mountain landscapes: wood, rock and snow mix to create bold and elegant facets.

The Dolomites represent the common thread and the distinctive feature of the MIC frames, both in the color choices and in the definition of the lines, easily recognizable right from the logo, whose irregular thicknesses and the shapes of the letters reflect the profile of the mountains, graphically creating a micro- natural landscape.

MIC Made in Cadore, the ambitious project born from the will of a group of local companies which, under the creative guidance of designer Tiziano Tabacchi and the production and commercial experience of Immagine 98, aim to tell and interpret with a new brand what was the cradle of Italian eyewear and retrace forgotten paths to rediscover the purity of origin.

It is a "territorial eyewear brand" project that unites different professionalisms, all however united by a great passion: the Dolomites and the craftsmanship of eyewear born at the foot of these mountains. We want to tell this story starting from the origin, from its values of craftsmanship, quality and style, taking inspiration from the land and its natural beauty.

We want to tell this story starting from the origin, from its values of craftsmanship, quality and style, taking inspiration from the land and its natural beauty.

Extreme loyalty to the territory, its shapes, its colors.
